A neglected house with over 100 years of history held within its hand-hewn timbers. Most contractors would have demolished this building without much of a second thought. I saw the potential in this neglected piece of history and embarked on a long and complicated restoration so that this building could once again take a proud position in the 300-year old village of Pointe-Claire, Québec. Renovations were very extensive and included new foundations, new wood cladding, new metal roofing, new windows, full insulation, re-wiring, re-plumbing, structural modifications and more. It is now a hub of activity in the village with the very popular Avocado Sushi shaking its timbers today.
The loft apartment on the second floor is for rent and its current availability and other details can be viewed here.
